It was Friday, and they let all athletes wear their jerseys to school. I'm proud to represent the "your team'. I'm at the bus stop with the other kids when an elderly lady comes out, walking an energetic little dog. Somehow the dog breaks free. The lady is calling, but its fast! I drop my book bag and go after it. The little devil ran to the creek. It’s on the edge of a rock. I carefully step out, grab the pooch, and then slip into the water. I pull us both out and walk back toward the bus stop and the elderly lady. I see the bus coming up the street. I remember how my mom likes my jersey because its sweat and stain resistant, so I figure it won’t be wet for long. I get on the bus. All my other Teammates are in their jersey, gleaming at me with pride.
