There was a downpour, but it was the final game of the season and neither coach wanted to have a make-up game with everyone’s summer vacation schedules starting. So, we didn’t stop. The field was getting muddier and the other team’s uniforms were drenched and like wet sacks against their bodies. Not the “you team”. Our uniforms have a certain type of fabric that is resistant to moisture. Aside from our hair sticking, we were fine, except for Jimmy Foster needing windshield wipers for his glasses.
