When we moved into the house, I found a basketball in the basement. I’d never thought much about basketball. I picked it up and successfully dribbled. A couple days later I was outside and the kid next door in a ‘your team’ jersey introduced himself and said we should shoot some hoops sometime in his backyard. “Sure, I’ll bring my ball,” I quickly replied. Well, it was mine now. I was really diggin’ this ‘your team’ kid. We started playing almost everyday after school. He’s really good at it, too. He taught me all the tricks that I’ve been watching on TV. He said that next year I should sign up for the ‘your team’. It doesn’t sound like a bad idea.
